At Parlours Booking ("we," "our," "us"), we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (the "App") for booking parlour services. By accessing or using our App, you agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy.

    • Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, password.
    • Booking Information: Appointment details, service preferences, special requests.
    • Payment Information: Credit/debit card details, billing address(processed securely via WebXPay).
    • Profile Information: Photos (optional), location data (if enabled by the user).

    • Device Information: Type of device, operating system, app version.
    • Usage Information: Information about how you use the App, including pages viewed, features used, and interactions within the App.
    • Technical Information: If enabled, your GPS location to display nearby parlours or assist with bookings

2. How We Use Your Information


  • To Provide Services: To facilitate your bookings, process payments, and communicate with parlours or service providers.
  • To Personalize Your Experience: To recommend services, parlours, and special offers based on your preferences and past activities.
  • To Improve Our App: To monitor usage trends, enhance app performance, and fix bugs.
  • To Communicate with You: To send confirmations, reminders, promotional content, and updates related to your bookings.
  • To Comply with Legal Obligations: To meet regulatory requirements and fulfill other legal obligations.

3. Legal Basis for Processing


  • Consent: When you provide explicit permission, such as for receiving marketing communications or location services.
  • Contractual Necessity: When processing is necessary to manage bookings, process payments, or send reminders.
  • Legitimate Interests: When we have a valid business reason that does not override your rights, such as improving the App, detecting fraud, or ensuring security.

4. Third-Party Tools and Analytics

We use trusted third-party tools and service providers to help us operate, improve, and analyze usage of the Parlours Booking App. These tools may collect information such as device data, app interactions, and browsing behavior to assist with performance monitoring, user engagement, and advertising.


The third-party tools we currently use include:


  • Google Analytics: for analyzing user behavior and app performance
  • Meta Pixel: to deliver relevant advertisements based on user behavior.
  • Firebase Analytics: for app crash reporting, performance monitoring, and event tracking

5. Push Notifications

We may send push notifications for appointment reminders, booking confirmations, or promotional offers. You can manage notification preferences at any time through your device or in-app settings. Disabling certain notifications may limit your access to timely updates.


5.1 Data Breach Notification

In the event of a data breach that compromises your personal information, we will notify you as soon as possible in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act No. 9 of 2022 of Sri Lanka, including the nature of the breach, affected data, and steps you can take to protect yourself.

5.2 Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, including booking history, payment records, and support communications. If you delete your account, most data will be removed unless we are legally required to retain certain records (e.g., for tax compliance or fraud prevention). Note: Transactional and service-related communications (like booking confirmations or account security alerts) will still be sent, even if you opt out of marketing messages.

  • Legal and Regulatory Compliance: To comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights, property, or safety of our users.
  • In the Event of a Business Transfer: Your data may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using the ParloursBooking mobile application ("App"). By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must refrain from using the App.



1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using the ParloursBooking App, you (the "User") agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms, as well as any additional terms and conditions that apply to specific features or services available through the App. These terms constitute a legal agreement between you and ParloursBooking. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the App.


2. Parlours Booking as a Booking Platform


ParloursBooking acts solely as a technology platform that facilitates the booking of salon and personal care services between users and independent service providers or parlours. ParloursBooking does not own, manage, operate, or control any listed service provider or the services they offer, and is not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, or outcome of services rendered. Disputes regarding service delivery must be resolved directly with the service provider or parlour. By using the App, you acknowledge that ParloursBooking is not a party to any service agreement between you and a service provider or parlour.


3. Age Restriction Policy

3.1 Eligibility


Only individuals aged 18 years and above are permitted to create an account and use the ParloursBooking App. Minors (individuals under the age of 18) may not register an account themselves but may receive selected services if the booking is made and supervised by a parent or legal guardian, as outlined in Section 3.2. The accompanying adult is fully responsible for ensuring that all consent and supervision requirements are met.


3.2 Parental/Guardian Consent


  • Clients under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at the time of the appointment.
  • A signed consent form may be required before any service is provided.
  • The parent/guardian must remain on the premises for the duration of the service.

3.3 Service Limitations for Minors


Not all services offered are suitable for minors. The availability of treatments for clients under 18 is subject to management discretion and may vary based on the service type, age of the client, and applicable health and safety guidelines.


3.4 Proof of Age


We reserve the right to request valid identification for age verification at the time of booking or service. In the case of minors, the accompanying adult may be asked to verify their identity and relationship to the minor.


3.5 Right to Refuse Service


ParloursBooking or service provider reserves the right to decline or discontinue any service if:


  • Consent is not provided.
  • The accompanying guardian is not present.
  • The service is deemed inappropriate for the age group.
  • Any behavior compromises the safety, comfort, or policies of the establishment


4. Gender-Specific Services Policy

4.1 Gender Selection Requirement


Customers must select their correct gender when booking services. This ensures compatibility with the service provider’s policies and available offerings.


4.2 Gender-Specific Service Providers or Parlours


Some service providers or parlours cater exclusively to a specific gender (e.g., ladies-only salons). It is the customer’s responsibility to verify that the selected service provider accepts their gender before booking.

4.3 Booking Restrictions


If a customer attempts to book a gender-restricted service that does not match their selected gender, the booking may be automatically rejected or cancelled by the provider. Refunds will follow the App’s standard Cancellation & Refund Policy (Section 5.4).


4.4 Non-Discrimination Notice


While we respect all gender identities, certain businesses operate under gender-specific policies due to cultural, privacy, or technical reasons. Customers are encouraged to review services providers or parlours details before booking.


4.5 Support & Disputes


If a booking is declined due to gender restrictions, customers may contact support for alternative recommendations. False gender selection to bypass restrictions may result in account suspension.


5. Booking Process

5.1 Account Creation


To make a booking, you must create an account on the App, providing accurate and up-to-date information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password.

5.2 Making a Booking


Once your account is created, you can search for available service providers or parlour services, choose the desired service, and make a booking. The app will display available slots, and you can select your preferred time and date based on the service providers' or parlour's availability.


5.3 Booking Confirmation


You will receive a confirmation via the App including the service provider, time, and location. Bookings are subject to availability and are not final until confirmed.


5.4 Cancellation and Modifications


All bookings made through the app are final. Users cannot cancel, reschedule, or transfer appointments once confirmed. No refunds will be issued unless the service provider or parlour cancels the appointment. Please review your booking details thoroughly before confirmation.


6. Payment Terms

6.1 Payment Methods


All payments for services booked through the App must be made using the payment methods supported by the app, including but not limited to credit cards, debit cards, or other electronic payment systems.


6.2 Payment Authorization


By providing your payment details, you authorize ParloursBooking to process payments through WebXPay and to charge the total amount due for booked services, including applicable taxes, tips, and fees, to your selected payment method.


6.3 Pricing and Fees


Prices for services are displayed within the app and are subject to change at any time. Users are responsible for reviewing the total price before confirming a booking.


6.4 Refunds and Modifications


Please refer to Section 5.4 (Cancellation and Modifications) for the full cancellation and refund policy. No refunds will be issued unless a cancellation is initiated by the service provider or parlour.


7. User Responsibilities

7.1 Accurate Information


You agree to provide accurate and complete information when using the app, including when making bookings and payments.


7.2 Compliance with Service Providers' Policies


You agree to follow the service providers' or parlour's policies, including behavior standards, cancellation guidelines, and any other instructions or requirements set by the service providers or parlours.


7.3 Timeliness


Please arrive at the service provider's or parlour's at least 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment to avoid unnecessary delays. Customers who arrive late may receive a shortened version of their service, wait for the next available slot, or be required to book a new appointment at their own cost.


7.4 Respect for Service Providers


You agree to treat service provider's or parlour's staff with respect and courtesy. Any abusive or disruptive behavior may result in immediate cancellation of the booking and a ban from using the App.


7.5 Users agree to


Follow all pre- and post-treatment care instructions.


Immediately report any discomfort during treatment.


Maintain appropriate hygiene standards when receiving services.


Comply with all facility health and safety protocols.


7.6 Missed your scheduled appointment


Due to high demand and limited availability, we strictly enforce our no-refund policy for missed appointments. If you missed your scheduled appointment, the no show will be treated as a completed service. When you book, we reserve that time exclusively for you. No-shows and late cancellations prevent us from serving other clients. Therefore, all fees apply regardless of attendance.


As stated in Section 4.4 (Cancellation and Modifications), all booking final and non-refundable. We recommend setting reminders to avoid missed appointments


8. Health & Safety Acknowledgment

8.1 Health disclosure requirements


Users must fully disclose in writing to the service provider, prior to any appointment:


  • All known medical conditions, allergies, or sensitivities
  • Current medications that may affect treatment
  • Any skin conditions, lesions, or infections in treatment areas

Failure to disclose such information may result in immediate termination of services without refund.


8.2 Assumption of risk


The user understands and voluntarily accepts that:


  • All beauty and personal care treatments involve inherent risks.
  • Individual results may vary based on physiological factors.
  • Some treatments may cause temporary discomfort or reactions.

9. Emergency Protocols


  • Service providers may seek emergency medical assistance.
  • The user accepts financial responsibility for any such medical services.
  • ParloursBooking shall not be responsible for emergency decisions made by providers.
  • The ParloursBooking app facilitates beauty and grooming service only. We are not healthcare providers and do not provide emergency medical services. All services booked through our platform are non-medical in nature.

10. Pandemic/Communicable Disease provisions

During public health emergencies:


  • Additional safety protocols may be implemented.
  • Services may be modified or cancelled for safety compliance.
  • Users must comply with all applicable public health guidelines.

11. Service providers or Parlours Responsibilities

11.1 Service Availability


Service providers or parlours listed on the App are responsible for ensuring their services are available at the time of the booking and that the services meet the quality standards advertised.


11.2 User Information Confidentiality


Service providers or parlours agree to keep any personal information shared by users through the app confidential and to use such information only for the purpose of fulfilling the service.


11.3 Service Delivery


Service providers or parlours must deliver the booked services as agreed, maintaining professional standards and ensuring the service is performed in a safe and hygienic environment.


12. Liabilities and Disclaimers

12.1 Personal Belongings Disclaimer


Customers are solely responsible for their personal belongings while on the premises of the service providers or parlours. ParloursBooking and its partner service providers or parlours are not liable for any lost, stolen, or damaged items, including but not limited to mobile phones, wallets, jewelry, or personal accessories.


12.2 Limitation of Liability


ParloursBooking is not liable for any damages, losses, or injuries arising from the use of the App, including, but not limited to, direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from any acts of the service providers or parlours.


12.3 No Warranty


The App is provided "as is" and "as available." ParloursBooking makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the App's functionality, service availability, or the quality of services provided by service providers or parlours.


12.4 Third-Party Content


The App may contain links to third-party websites or services. ParloursBooking does not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for any third-party content, products, or services.


12.5 Indemnification


You agree to indemnify and hold ParloursBooking harmless from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from your use of the App, your breach of these Terms, or any actions taken by the service providers or parlours.


13. Liabilities waiver


To the maximum extent permitted by law, User releases ParloursBooking from any liability arising from:


  • Allergic reactions or adverse effects from treatments
  • Aggravation of pre-existing conditions
  • Consequences of failure to follow aftercare instructions

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes that arise will be resolved through binding arbitration, except were prohibited by law.


15. Changes to Terms and Conditions

ParloursBooking reserves the right to modify or update these Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and your continued use of the App after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
