Privacy Policy for Parlours Booking Mobile Application
At Parlours Booking ("we," "our," "us"), we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (the "App") for booking parlour services. By accessing or using our App, you agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy.

- To Improve Our App: To monitor usage trends, enhance app performance, and fix bugs.
- To Communicate with You: To send confirmations, reminders, promotional content, and updates related to your bookings.
- To Comply with Legal Obligations: To meet regulatory requirements and fulfill other legal obligations.
3. Legal Basis for Processing
- Consent: When you provide explicit permission, such as for receiving marketing communications or location services.
- Contractual Necessity: When processing is necessary to manage bookings, process payments, or send reminders.
- Legitimate Interests: When we have a valid business reason that does not override your rights, such as improving the App, detecting fraud, or ensuring security.
4. Third-Party Tools and Analytics
We use trusted third-party tools and service providers to help us operate, improve, and analyze usage of the Parlours Booking App. These tools may collect information such as device data, app interactions, and browsing behavior to assist with performance monitoring, user engagement, and advertising.
The third-party tools we currently use include:
- Google Analytics: for analyzing user behavior and app performance
- Meta Pixel: to deliver relevant advertisements based on user behavior.
- Firebase Analytics: for app crash reporting, performance monitoring, and event tracking

5. Push Notifications
We may send push notifications for appointment reminders, booking confirmations, or promotional offers. You can manage notification preferences at any time through your device or in-app settings. Disabling certain notifications may limit your access to timely updates.
5.1 Data Breach Notification
In the event of a data breach that compromises your personal information, we will notify you as soon as possible in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act No. 9 of 2022 of Sri Lanka, including the nature of the breach, affected data, and steps you can take to protect yourself.
5.2 Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, including booking history, payment records, and support communications. If you delete your account, most data will be removed unless we are legally required to retain certain records (e.g., for tax compliance or fraud prevention). Note: Transactional and service-related communications (like booking confirmations or account security alerts) will still be sent, even if you opt out of marketing messages.
